We are looking for a
SPECIALIST IN MULTI-ACTOR COOPERATION AND INTERNATIONAL FUNDING
for a fixed-term position at our Helsinki office. The contract covers a study leave for the period 1 April – 31 December 2026.
The Specialist will strengthen Fida’s capacity to access and utilise international funding for development cooperation and humanitarian assistance. The role also focuses on developing multi-actor partnerships – including collaboration with companies, educational institutions and international networks – and promoting innovative approaches within the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
• Monitoring international development funding opportunities
• Coordinating and developing funding application processes
• Preparing and managing funding applications
• Strengthening collaboration with corporate partners
• Identifying new partnership opportunities in Finland and internationally
• Supporting Fida’s Country Programmes through strategic networks and cooperation
• Identifying opportunities related to innovation and new technologies
• Promoting an innovative working culture within Fida
We expect applicants to hold a relevant higher education degree and have experience in international financing and funding application processes. Familiarity with development financing instruments and development cooperation is essential. Experience in corporate collaboration, partnership development or multi-stakeholder cooperation is considered an asset, as is interest in innovation within development contexts.
To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Confidence in providing training and sharing knowledge
• Strong interpersonal and cooperation skills
• The ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in a multicultural environment
Fluency in Finnish and English is required. Knowledge of additional languages is considered an advantage.

Salary (pay grade 4) and terms of employment follow the collective agreement for Christian organisations in Finland (KJTES kristillisiä järjestöjä koskeva työehtosopimus).

Fida Secondhand Shops is one of Finland’s largest charity shop chains. We have 21 shops and an outlet, a Sorting and Logistics Centre and shop management. We are pioneers in reuse and sustainable development in Finland.
Fida Secondhand Shops offers a varied and interesting workplace. Fida’s office, Sorting and Logistics centres are located in Roihupelto, Helsinki. The Sorting Centre processes all textiles and accessories donated to Fida, and we sell selected products in our stores. The Logistics Centre collects donations from customers and handles internal transport within Fida stores.
We offer our employees the opportunity to develop their professional skills through various training courses. Strengthening professional skills increases job security and job satisfaction. Many of the people who work at Fida have had long careers in a variety of jobs.
To work in our stores you need to have a reasonable knowledge of the Finnish language.


Fida has sent workers to 27 countries. We have about 200 employees in Finland and as expatriates abroad. In addition, we employ 250 local professionals in our partner countries. Our head office is in Roihupelto, Helsinki.
We pay our Finnish and expatriate staff according to the Collective Agreement for Christian Organisations (KJTes).
Our office operations in Helsinki offer extensive opportunities for telecommuting, but we also maintain a sense of community through regular local work. According to our staff surveys, remote and local working practices are perceived as flexible and supportive of wellbeing at work.
Our expatriates often work in challenging environments with many safety risks. Regional Fida Care teams are responsible for supporting our expatriates and developing their wellbeing locally. Fida also has a security organisation that ensures the safety of our employees and responds quickly to various crisis situations.
