Sexual violence is used as a weapon in wars all over the world. During conflicts many women are forced to face the merciless violence that breaks their relationships, minds and bodies. Thousands of women around the world live in fear. 

In the conflict that has been ongoing in the Democratic Republic of Congo for decades, women get raped every single day. It is impossible to say the actual numbers, since not all the cases are reported. Both children and adults are in danger to be victims of sexual violence. It destroys individuals, families and communities. The path from victim to survivor is long and difficult.
