The organisational change negotiations at Fida, a Finnish missions and development cooperation organisation, have concluded. As a result of the negotiations, 14 positions will be discontinued. Thanks to other cost-saving measures, the scale of staff reductions was significantly smaller than anticipated.
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland has granted Fida 20.8 million euros for development cooperation and 3.5 million euros for humanitarian assistance for the years 2026–2029.
