Accessibility Statement for the Fida.fi Website

We aim to provide equal and accessible digital services for everyone, even though the Act on the Provision of Digital Services and the EU Accessibility Directive do not require us to implement an accessible website.

The accessibility of the website has been evaluated by Fida International ry. The service’s accessibility is assessed in collaboration with external experts, and an accessibility audit will be conducted shortly.

This accessibility statement applies to the website of Fida International ry (fida.fi). The statement reflects the status as of November 1, 2024.

Accessibility of the Service

The website largely meets the AA-level accessibility criteria (WCAG 2.2). We implemented the AA-level accessibility standards as part of our website renewal in October 2024.

In addition to the website, we also aim to improve accessibility in other areas, such as our social media channels and other digital materials.

Key Accessibility Issues on the Website

Below are the main accessibility shortcomings:

Content that is not accessible:

  • Articles, news, and other current publications transferred from our old website may not include text alternatives for all images. (WCAG 1.1.1)
  • Due to resource constraints, our videos are not yet audio described, but we are considering implementing this in the future. (WCAG 1.2.5)
  • Some older infographics on the website may lack text-based equivalents. (WCAG 1.1.1)
  • Recordings of webinars and live broadcasts do not fully meet accessibility requirements. (WCAG 1.2)
  • Not all PDF documents on the website are currently accessible. Going forward, we aim to ensure all PDFs are designed to be accessible. (WCAG 1.1.1)
