We strive to be a safe, ethical, and responsible organisation. If you suspect we have failed in any way, please report your concern to us without delay. You can submit a report via this form (note: the link directs to an external reporting service).
The name Fida comes from the Latin word meaning “faithful and reliable.” We aim to live up to our name as a reliable organisation committed to responsible and safe operations alongside our partners.
In our strategy we emphasise our core values as a Christian partner that respects human dignity, adapts to change, and is trustworthy. We have created a Safeguarding Policy to ensure that employees, volunteers, partner organisations, and their representatives act in a way that respects human dignity.
Fida is committed to ethical principles that emphasise our commitment to international agreements that protect human rights. Fairness and non-discrimination are central values in all Fida’s work and communications.
Fida does not tolerate corruption or bribery in any form and aims to prevent all types of corruption through its policies. We do not collaborate with partners or networks that condone corruption or violate human rights.
Fida has zero tolerance for sexual exploitation, harassment, discrimination, and abuse of power. All Fida personnel are expected to commit to child protection and to creating a safe and healthy work environment. Each employee must follow the principles outlined in a separate policy for preventing sexual harassment, exploitation, and violence.
Fida’s policies and guidelines apply to all staff in Finland and abroad, as well as to Fida’s registered offices abroad. These policies aim to ensure personal safety for employees and for those Fida works with.
Ethical and safe conduct is realised in our daily actions, in the responsible way we carry out our duties, and in how we uphold our values across the entire organisation.
